Congratulations to Melissa Sage’s A’MAHYA on her huge BISS win at the Wisconsin Specialty!! Over 50 malamutes competing!
Congrats to Cindy & Jeff Nelson’s ELI who garnered 6 points from just a couple weekends of showing in the 6-9 puppy class!

Last weekend at the Pueblo, Colorado shows marked a fantastic accomplishment for one of our favorite Vykon kids. The beautiful "Hermione" (GChS Vykon's Aluk Busy Bein' Fabulous, TT, WTD, WPD) finished her Silver Grand Championship at the young age of nearly 10!! Hermione has been shown sparingly throughout the years as she is a very serious sled dog with thousands of miles under her paws and was just too busy! We are absolutely thrilled that she earned the honor of being Vykon’s first Silver and we congratulate her, Ben and Chari for their dedication.
Hugs my lovely.

Summer 2018 had been a successful time for Vykon dogs. In Greenville, Vykon’s Ixa I’m A Dreamer at Ilannak, CGC, TKI, RI, WPD, owned by Chelsea Murray, finished his Championship completely owner handled with a 4-pointer. Lennon became Vykon’s 100th homebred Champion! His sister Penny - Ch. Vykon’s Ixa Heart of the Matter - finished her Grand Championship the same day! Also in Greenville, Vykon’s Every Mile A Memory (owned by Sandy Jones & Vicky Jones) won 2 majors and Vykon’s Ixa Watch The Throne (owned by Josh Mason) won his first major.
Next were the August shows in Atlanta, where our Hayden (Vykon’s Starman) won a major and BOS over champions the first day to finish his Championship. The next two days, the points went to Vykon’s Every Mile A Memory aka Chandler, who went Best of Breed over 3 specials for a 5-pointer to finish his Championship! He also made the cut in a very strong Working Group. On the last day the third brother, Vykon’s Hearts Under Seige, aka Troy, owned by Josh Mason & Mike Shi, won his first major and started his journey en route to his Championship. Vykon dogs also won Best of Breed every day - Penny 2 days, Chandler 1 day, and Lennon 1 day.
Our Penny (GCh. Vykon's Ixa Heart of the Matter) also went to a weekend of IABCA International shows where she earned her Int. Ch. title plus 2 Best in Show and 3 Best Bred-By Exhibitor in Show wins!!!
While we were having all that excitement here, another Vykon Champion “Petula” and her owner Jean Say earned her CGC and TDI in California.

Great wins for April included baby Hayden's 5-point major and Grand Sweeps wins in Perry, GA, Janis's Best of Breed over 2 Specials win in Mass., and Lennon's Rally Novice Title and some "fast cat" runs toward that title!!

2018 has already started out with some fun! Raylan finished up his Beginner Novice title with another first place win and received an Achiever Dog certificate from AKC. Baby Hayden added 4 more points on his Championship from the 6-9 puppy class and received a Puppy of Achievement certificate from AKC.
Lennon (owned by Chelsea Murray) grabbed up all the rest of his singles, leaving him just needing a major to finish! He also won a terrific Owner-Handled Group 2 in Tennessee!
And finally, baby Janis (Vykon's Creative License) owned by MaryAnne Beeman made quite a splash at the Massachusetts shows. Her first weekend in the ring she took a Group 3 (from the 6-9 puppy class!!) which shot her straight to the list of Top 10 malamutes in the nation. Her second weekend showing she won back-to-back Best in Sweeps, back-to-back 5-point majors, BW both shows and a BOS over multiple bitch specials. Look for her photo on Fiona's page under "Fiona Kids". She's going to be famous!

Fall show season continued to be an exciting time for Vykon Kennels! We finished a Championship and a Trick Dog title on Raylan so his total name is now Ch. Vykon's Justified, RE, CGC, TKN. He also earned 2 "legs" on his Beginner Novice title so will finish that up in early 2018.
Raylan became the 5th Champion from our Enzo x Fiona litter, thereby giving Fiona (GCh. Vykon's Burn Notice) her Register of Merit!! She joined an elite group of 5 other Vykon girls who earned that distinction from just ONE litter, proving time & time again that it's all about quality not quantity.
Tanner (Ch. Vykon's Life in the Fast Lane) finished his Grand Championship title in just three show weekends.
Baby Hayden won some points on his Championship also but the biggest excitement was his Best of Breed and Group 2 win at the first ever Royal Canin National All-Breed Puppy & Junior Stakes competition at the National Dog Show in Orlando in December. This 1228-dog competition brought entries from all over the world and our Hayden (Vykon's Starman) was the youngest working dog to win a Best of Breed!

We’re super pleased with our boy Raylan who earned his Rally Excellent title in 3 days with 3 first place wins and some pretty impressive scores! He also added some more points on his Championship so will soon be adding a title to the front of his name as well!
Super congratulations to the two newest Vykon champions:
Ch. Vykon’s Windansea Rock Siren aka Petula, finished in Utah with two more majors, going BOS, WB at the Intermountain West Working Dog Show and again at the Bonneville Basin show! Her owner Jean Say was thrilled to say the least. And, Ch. Vykon’s Amorak Their Finest Hour, CGC, aka Winston, grabbed his last couple points in Kansas by going BOB over the Special and an Owner-Handler Group placement, then taking the Breed the next day on his first time shown as a “special”. Winston finished entirely owner handled by Abby Jessell. We are very proud of these two.
Meanwhile in Alabama, Vykon’s Ixa I’m A Dreamer At Ilannak, earned his first major on his Ch. title. Lennon is owner- handled by Chelsea Murray and is halfway to his Championship now.
And finally, the babies from Fiona’s latest litter are starting to make their presence known. At 4 months of age, baby Janis has won 4 UKC Best Puppy in Show awards and baby Hayden has a BOB & Working Group 1 in the 4-6 mo. competition at the local AKC Newnan KC show! They’ll all be featured on Fiona’s Kids page soon!

Raylan makes us proud again, earning his Rally Advanced title in three straight shows with a 1st and two 2nd placements. Way to go Ray!!!
***
Our youngster "Raylan" (Vykon's Justified) started his show career in Perry, picking up a 3-pt. major and BW at the Alaskan Malamute Supported Show and also earning his Canine Good Citizen degree that weekend. A few weekends later the next Perry shows netted him 3 more singles on his Championship and his Rally Novice title with two 2nd place wins! How I love these well-rounded dogs that can go from ring to ring without a hitch and succeed!!
***
Our lovely young man "Tanner" (Vykon's Life In The Fast Lane) won his final major and his 5th Best of Breed over Specials, making him Vykon's 96th home-bred Champion!! We can't wait for him to grow up a little bit (he just turned 16 months) and blow 'em away in the specials ring with his outrageous side-gait!
On the west coast, "Tanner's" sis "Petula" picked up some more singles and will be looking for that last major.
From Oklahoma, brother "Winston" won his first major at some Texas shows! We just keep having a good time with this British Invasion litter.

Beautiful "Cro" is the second Champion from the litter Ann Mayberry-Welch and I bred out of Linda Frank's "Polar" and our Elvira daughter "Daphne". The most exciting thing is HOW he finished...... Best of Winners for a 5-point major AND Best in Sweepstakes AND a Sweepstakes Group 2 - all at the Alaskan Malamute Specialty in Illinois!!! Wow!
There's something about these kids that make them want to do things in a big way! (See his sister Penny's page for her big wins too!) Biggest congrats possible for Kim Manassa & Joe Wieczorek and their new Champion -
BPISS AKC Ch. & BIS UKC Ch. Vykon's Ixa's Man in the Nets, CGC!!!!
